Are You UN-Knowingly Being Seen as a Twitter Spammer
Twitter has brought out many businesses to look at social media that might have not used the tools before . It is understandable to me when asked by local business owners when they hear they need to be online and using social media, but frankly lots of them do not even know good marketing practices and now they are having to absorb the rules of engagement in social media WHEW!
I spoke with the local Tomball group of ABWA and their questions were frank, honest and pretty much the same thing I hear every where I speak…
“I just do not get this social media, I hear it is influential but how do I use it?”
Great, questions and I love that they are asking. At least they want to learn and are being engaged. Sometimes the easierst way to show you what to do is to show you what NOT to do…so here are some examples…
You are unknowingly a Spammer is you do this:
- Think you are spreading helpful information using a RSS feed, a automated program or site with “news links”
- You read a tweet on your topic then proceed to tweet them your site link-cause it’s related PLEASE
- All you do is talk about your biz opportunity
- You want to bless the rest of us with “How to get lot of followers”
Now, this is just a few ways you unknowingly spam. We are giving you credit that when you learn you will change your tweeting habits otherwise guess what? We unfollow, then block you and your message is empty null and void cause NO ONE IS LISTENING.
So, now it is your turn what are the ways you see people spamming on Twitter? I wonder if we will uncover 100 ways? Time will tell.
