This is where businesses coming into the social media arena because they heard it is the thing to do for business today are missing the mark.

This years SXSW was powerful in that one of the keynotes by Gary Vaynerchuk was spot on.  I started to edit the video and it was just me and the flip, there were times it was not on Gary (wanting to ask a question,going to microphone to wait, then changing my mind) I am posting it anyway so you get the feel as if you were there with me.  Enjoy! Giggle just realized after writing this post that I cannot upload an hour long video to youtube, so I will have to edit clips and figure out another solution.

My takeaways and the title rang so true and I will ask you to be honest with yourself when you answer these questions.  They will profoundly help your business.

  • We all broadcast now, that’s the way of the land
  • People completely under estimate thank you and your welcome

  • If you do not care about the people who use your product or service you are gonna LOSE

I hear you, you want results and you want them fast.  What business doesn’t?  Fast is not sustainable, fast is not memorable, fast is not relationship building.  You can fight it, you can stomp your feet ( I know sometimes I have, giggle) OR you can step up, show up and speak up.  Then when people know, like and trust you they will BUY.

Will you be like our teenager when they do not want to do something stand there complaining about how it is VS shifting into gear and DOING what is needed?
